Team Qatar shooters return home to a warm welcome
DOHA – Team Qatar shooters were given a festive reception upon their arrival at Hamad International Airport on Wednesday after claiming a total of nine medals including two gold, a silver and six bronze medals at Arab Shooting Championship 2024, which was held in Beni Khalled, Tunisia.
On Wednesday, the duo of Al Maha Al Ali and Abdul Rahman Al Sulaiti won Qatar’s last gold medal, claiming victory in the mixed rifle competition in the junior category, which saw their teammates Sheikha Al Nuaimi and Khaled Al Sharshani securing the bronze medal.
A total of 134 male and female shooters representing nine Arab countries, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Algeria, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Mauritania and hosts Tunisia took part in this championship.
