BAKU , Azerbaijan - Qatar’ senior football team concluded training session on Saturday, in preparation for their match on Sunday against hosts Azerbaijan in the 10th round of Group A in the European qualifiers for the World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Qatari team just lost to Serbia 0-4, in the match that took place in Belgrade in the ninth round. It is worth noting that the European Football Association (UEFA) invited the Qatar Football Association to participate in the European qualifiers as a legal entity without calculating the results.
By appearing in European qualifiers, Qatar will get valuable match practice ahead of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™, which will be held in Qatar from November 30 to December 18.
At the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™, Qatar will play Bahrain in the opening match followed by games against Iraqi and Oman.
