ABU DHABI : Qatar swimming team claimed 4 medals on Saturday in the Arab Swimming Championship, which is running in UAE’s capital city of Abu Dhabi.
Qatar’s Mohammed Mahmoud won gold medal in the Men’s 50 butterfly, as Qatar’s relay team consists of Abdullah Al Ghamri, Mohammed Mahmoud, Tamim Mohammed and Ahmed Dhiyab won the gold medal in the Men’s 4x100m medley relay.
Team Qatar’s Abdullah Al Khalidy seized the silver medal in men’s 50m swimming, as team Qatar’s relay Ahmed Dhiyab, Abdullah Al Khalidy, Abdullah Al Ghamri and Mohammed Mahmoud took bronze medal in men’s 4x 200 relay free style.
The event brings together 140 swimmers from 16 countries including; Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Sudan, Libya, Algeria, Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Djibouti, Mauritania, Morocco, and Iraq.
