Rashed Nawaf and Nasser Al Yafei dominate GCC Tennis Championship
Muscat, December 25, 2018-Qatar's Rashed Nawaf claimed the title of boys under 14 years singles event at the GCC Tennis Championship being held in Oman until December 29, 2018.
In the final match, Rashed Nawaf defeated his compatriot Meshari Nawaf 6-1 6-1.
In doubles event, Qatar's Rashed Nawaf and Nasser Al Yafei took the gold medal after beating Meshari Nawaf and Ali Al Saadi in the final match.
Khalid Al Khelaifi, Board Member of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) and Chairman of National Teams Committee said that the federation is proud of the results made by the Qatari players as they won both singles and doubles event for boys under 14 years category.
In boys under 14 years event, the state of Qatar is represented by Ali Al Saadi, Rashed Nawaf, Meshari Nawaf and Nasser Al Yafei while Ghanim Al Khelaifi, Saeed Al Kuwari are participating in boys under 18 years event.
